True Wheelchair Braking for Paraplegics

Para Lever – For the paraplegic user, this system provides true wheelchair braking. We utilize bicycle type brake levers, with a “lock-up” button for transfers. Users with good hand function and trunk control can independently actuate the left or right side for deceleration, maneuvering or fast cornering. Disc brake technology reduces wrist, elbow and shoulder pain by decreasing efforts/forces required, and reducing repetitive overuse.

Para Levers:

  • Levers mount to left and right side of chair frame
  • Levers operate independently
  • True brake deceleration, maneuvering or fast cornering
  • Lock-Up button for transfers
  • Reduces wrist and joint pain
  • Lightweight lever design clamps to .750” tubing or 1"
    (optional clamp available for 1.25” tubing)
